The Cleveland Bujinkan Dojo is the longest running Bujinkan Dojo in within Cuyahoga County / Cleveland Metro area.  We are committed to teaching the Authentic Samurai and Ninjutsu arts, as Taught by Soke Masaaki Hatsumi.

Tom Hilliard, Head Instructor of The Cleveland Bujinkan

Tom began training in various martial arts in 1984 while he was in the Marine Corps, and in fall 1990, he began training in the Bujinkan, under the guidance of Larry Turner.  In 2005 he was given the rank of Godan (5th degree black belt).  In March of 2008, while training in Japan, he was promoted to Nanadan (7th degree black belt).  Tom continues to train with other instructors around the United States and travels to Japan regularly to train with Soke and his Shihan.

Tom also receives tactical firearms training from a nationally recognized institution on a regular basis, and competes in local firearm competitions to enhance his training, and those of his students.  He's also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Assistant Instructor Mike Baer
